DeVitis Grocery App

I am passionate about designing seamless user experiences that are engaging and intuitive. I have completed a number of projects that have greatly enhanced the functionality and aesthetics of my clients’ websites and applications. For my latest project, I took on the challenge of improving the user experience for a local Italian grocery store that offers curbside pickup. I started by creating low-resolution wireframes and, using Figma, was able to turn them into a fully functional interface. The end result was a user-driven and engaging design that made the process of curbside pickup easy and enjoyable.

I approached this project with the goal of creating an application that was both user-friendly and intuitive. I designed the app with multiple ordering options, including the ability to browse by category, and even reorder previous purchases. I have also implemented a legal age verification process, which is required for any orders involving alcohol sales.

Although no major demographic studies were completed this grocery customer tends to skew older. That was my focus as I created simple and easy-to-use buttons and shopping areas.

The usability of the pick-up area was my main concern with these users as they might have not interacted with an interface like this in the past. I referenced some existing grocery applications for the functionality that had to be included.

Adding items to the cart also had to be simple and visually appealing, I achieved this by allowing users to shop directly from the product page.
